Hanna-Barbara knew how to tie one on

Hanna-Barbara certainly knew how to tie one on. I'm sure there are more examples, but I think that the use of the bow tie in cartooning (and ties in general) must speak to the strong visual power of the tie in general...and specifically in the ability to make an animal more human?
